These are the bare facts, and I think it all fits:
Alma Maud Markham - death Hull September 1905 - 9d 181
John Markham - death Hull 1945 - 9d 179 (registered April May June 1945)
Rose E Markham - (2nd) marriage Holderness June 1945 - 9d 333 to King (presumably Ben)
I presume that this is "our" John Markham, both his age (making his birth as 1875) and the district would confirm this.
John died in the 2nd quarter of 1945 and Rose remarried in June so they were probably not divorced - just a guess.
