Obituary Saturday 13th of May 1916:
The funeral took place on Wednesday of Mr Jackson Clark, who passed away on Saturday.The first part of the service was held in the Wesleyan Chapel. Mr Clark was most highly respected in the village and also held the position of the superintendent of the Wesleyan Sunday School for a large number of years.

John married Betsey PHILLIPSON, daughter of Stephen PHILLIPSON and Mary A, on 28 Jul 1881. (Betsey PHILLIPSON was born in 1861 in Scawby, Lincolnshire, died on 19 Feb 1883 and was buried in Bottesford St Peter.)

John next married Sarah Maria COWLING, daughter of John COWLING and Amelia YOUNG, on 25 Jun 1884 in Bottesford, Lincolnshire. (Sarah Maria COWLING was born on 22 May 1863 in Crowle, Lincolnshire and died abt 1936 (aged 73?).)
